Although it is smaller than its neighbor, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Snow King is a favorite for local and international ski teams. 60% of its 400 skiable acres are reserved for advanced skiers and riders. It is open during the winter season for day and night skiing. In addition to trails, the resort offers tubing, ice skating and the annual Snowmobile Hill Climb, in which snowmobile companies and riders from all over the country come to race up Snow King’s steepest slope. It’s dangerous, and often riders don’t make it to the top, and their snowmobile topples pell-mell down the steep mountainside. This annual event occurs around the end of March and drawn spectators from all over the globe.
