Bears are mammals of the family Ursidae. Bears are classified as caniforms, with the pinnipeds being their closest living relatives. There are 8 major types of bears, these include American Black Bear, Brown Bear, Polar Bear, Giant Pandas, Asiatic Black Bear, Sloth Bear, Spectacled Bear, and Sun Bear. Although there are only eight living species of bear, they are widespread, appearing in a wide variety of habitats throughout the Northern Hemisphere and partially in the Southern Hemisphere and are considered one of the most dangerous land animals.
