The Minnesota Twins were first established at the end of the 1960 season, when the Washington Senators moved to Minneapolis/St. Paul and became the Minnesota Twins. They won the World Series that resulted from their two last ALCS clinches, in 1987 and 1991. These games were played against the St. Louis Cardinals (1987) and the Atlanta Braves (1991).
