The Los Angeles Angels were founded in 1961. In the 1973-1974 season, Nolan Ryan was the first pitcher to ever throw three no-hitter games in one season. The next year, he threw his fourth career no hitter, tying the major league record in his first years as a pitcher.
The team made its first postseason in 1979, but did not advance to the World Series. In 1986, the team won the American League West, but again, did not make the World Series.
In 1998, the team christens a newly updated stadium, Edison International Field. In 2002, the team won the World Series championship.

I work for a education company and help them with their outreach to teachers and students. Hope everyone enjoys my articles.
