Brief Biography of James Patterson
Born March 22, 1947, James Patterson is one of the most prolific contemporary authors of mysteries and fiction. The award-winning author has also penned a number of children’s books, all of which are available in audio format in addition to their print editions. While Patterson has consistently released more than one book per year for the majority of his career, he also relies on the support of co-authors, who share credit with him on some of his most popular works.

James Patterson Books Turned into Movies and Television Shows
The popularity of James Patterson’s books has lead various studios and production companies to option them into motion pictures and television. Along Came a Spider was filmed by Paramount in 1997, starring Morgan Freeman and directed by Lee Tamahori; Kiss the Girls was filmed by Paramount in 1997; Roses Are Red was adapted for film.
First to Die was adapted for an NBC television mini-series; “Women’s Murder Club” series was the basis for a pilot for American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. (ABC) television, but the series was short-lived and subsequently canceled after just a few episodes.
