NYSE Euronext (NYX), the world’s leading exchange group, completed its acquisition of the American Stock Exchange (AMEX), becoming the third-largest American options marketplace. As a result, NYSE Euronext has begun to integrate amex.com content and data into the www.nyse.com. Effective January 16, 2009 close of business, amex.com was phased out.
