Whistler-Blackcomb Ski Resort is one of the world’s largest, most well-known and visited resorts. Located about an hour north of Vancouver, Whistler is the largest resort in North America and has one of the highest vertical drops, measuring slightly less than one mile on both the Whistler and Blackcomb peaks. The resort was originally built in 1966 in anticipation of winning the bid for the 1968 Winter Olympics. While it did not win, Whistler-Blackcomb was fortunate to be included in Vancouver’s bid for the 2010 Winter Olympic games, and hosted the Alpine Skiing events in February of the year. With 200 trails and 8,171 skiable acres, the area has more than something for everyone; it has everything.

Lake Louise Mountain Resort is located in western Alberta, Canada in Banff National Park.
